Who among us hasn’t sometimes been lacking in confidence?
Before I was a world-class athlete, I had what doctors like to call a bit of a weight problem, and I worried that women wouldn’t want to make sweet, passionate love to me.
Even women who themselves had gross bodies: just because a woman can’t bring herself to maintain an acceptable personal appearance doesn’t mean she’s going to want anything to do with her natural male counterpart.
Not that I would have been interested. Even in my lowest moments, I understood that fat women are morally deficient and aesthetically revolting. I was the fat-person equivalent of Clarence Thomas. I looked down on my own kind.
Similarly, there may have been times when Drake felt that he wasn’t presenting the very best version of himself to the world.
